The Glasgow Science Centre

Opened in 2001, the Glasgow Science Centre is one of Scotland’s most popular paid-for visitor attractions and is one of our most popular weekend excursions. In 2026, we will take our students there at the end of Weeks 2 & 5.

The main part of the centre, the Science Mall, is spread over three floors and features more than 300 interactive exhibits that demonstrate scientific principles. If that sounds boring, I can assure you that it’s not, and it’s great watching the students learning by doing and having fun at the same time. The students will also get to see a film in the centre’s IMAX theatre.

After visiting the Science Centre, we’ll take the students to the Glasgow city centre, where they can shop and explore a bit of Scotland’s largest city with their group leader or our activity leaders.
